The application forms for Protected Area Permit (PAP) for entering Manipur shall be submitted or sent by posts to the offices listed above at least 4 (four) weeks before the proposed visit. (Download

Every foreigner granted Protected Area Permit (PAP) shall be charged a fee of Rs.1500/-. Any extension of the period of the permit requires the payment of an additional fee to be decided by the state government. The following places in Manipur are open to foreigners:
Foreign nationals visiting the state are subjected to the following conditions:

The period of stay in the place is up to 10 days

Foreigners associated with Government projects will be given permit for full period of the work

Visits have to be in Groups of four or more; 2(two) in the case of married couples
